Whether you have made a mistake with your purchase, your thermometer needs repairing, or you would like to return an instrument for calibration, our returns process is here to make things easy.
How to Make a Return

Enter your information into our online Returns Form below, selecting the reason for your return from the drop-down list. You can choose between whether you would like a refund, repair, or calibration.
Confirmation email
You will receive a confirmation email with a unique case number and details of how to return your instrument to us.
Post your return
You can see the progress of your order in your ETI account. Once the order has been shipped, you will receive a confirmation email and a link to track your delivery.
Repairs & Calibration
If you have returned your instrument for repair or calibration, our team will send an invoice for the work. Once you have paid the invoice, they will carry out the work and return your instrument. You can check the progress of the work in your account, and we will send progress updates and delivery tracking via email.
Refund
If you have returned your instrument for a refund, we will review and approve the item before processing the refund back to your original form of payment within 14 days.
Returns
Unused products may be returned within 30 days of purchase for a refund, minus shipping charges. A charge of 25% of invoice value or a minimum charge of £10, in respect of packaging and administration, may be levied on goods 'Not Wanted' or 'Incorrectly Ordered', or due to duplication resulting from a 'Confirmation Order' not endorsed to that effect.
All boxes, packaging materials, accessories, manuals and certificates must be in new, re-sellable condition or a fee equal to the cost of the damaged and/or missing item(s) will be deducted from the refunded amount. Be sure to ship in a carton that protects the original item box or package. We suggest you insure the package for the full value. Used or damaged equipment may not be returned for a refund. Credits are not issued until the goods are received and inspected at ETI. It may take up to two weeks to process credits.
The request for a return must be made within 30 calendar days of the purchase and the return shipment must be made promptly after that. Note that original shipping charges are not refunded unless the return is a result of our error. If you have ordered correctly and we have shipped the wrong item, we will pay to return the item to us or we will send a delivery service to pickup the item at our expense. Items missing or damaged in shipment must be reported within 2 business days of receipt of shipment. Custom or special order products are not returnable.
Unused products may be returned within 30 days of purchase for a refund. All returned products will be inspected and tested to establish the condition of the goods before a refund can be offered. We aim to do this and communicate the outcome within 48 hours.
Any standard product can be returned, as long it is unused and in the original packaging, Bespoke product will only be accepted if deemed to be a manufacturing fault/defect, which would then be processed as a warranty return.

Original shipping charges are not refunded unless the return is being made because of an ETI error – for instance, sending an erroneous item to a customer by mistake.

Return Your Equipment for Calibration
To keep your equipment accurate and reliable, regular recalibration is essential.
How often you should recalibrate depends on the purpose of the thermometer, how frequently it's used, and any relevant regulatory guidelines. Generally, it’s a good idea to check accuracy at least once a month and recalibrate a few times a year.
At ETI, we provide a quick, precise, and hassle-free recalibration service for any thermometer or hygrometer, even if you didn't buy it from us. Our service is flexible, allowing you to choose the number of checkpoints and the specific temperature ranges you need.

If you are requesting a calibration because you received a reminder letter from us, please make sure to select ‘Calibration Reminder’ as your Reason for Return on the form. For all other calibration requests, please select the most applicable option.
Make sure to add your requirements or PO quote number (to the Additional Information box) and send your instrument(s) in for calibration. Our laboratory team will do their best to process your request rapidly.
