The Therma 22 hand held thermistor and thermocouple thermometer has been specifically designed for those who need the versatility of both the thermocouple and thermistor probes in one compact thermometer.

The thermistor sensor gives greater accuracy for food processing, whilst the type T thermocouple sensor extends the measurement range and provides faster response, if required. Simply plug the probe of your choice into the Therma 22 and the thermometer will take fast, accurate measurements.

The Therma 22 features an easy to read, LCD display with open circuit and low battery indication. The instrument displays temperature over the range of -39.9 to 149.9 °C (thermistor) or over the range of -199.9 to 400 °C (type T thermocouple).

The Therma 22 is housed in a robust ABS case that includes 'Biomaster' additive which reduces bacterial growth. The auto-power off facility maximises battery life, turning the instrument off automatically after ten minutes.

The Therma 22 thermometer incorporates a Lumberg screw-locking type connector, allowing a wide range of interchangeable probes to be used. ETI offers an extensive range of interchangeable type T thermocouple probes. Click here to view suitable probes, or click the accessories tab. The Therma 22 is priced exclusive of probe.

The protective boot helps to protect the instrument against accidental damage and when used makes the instrument splashproof to IP64. The stainless steel wall-mounted thermometer holder stores the instrument safely when not in use (screws not supplied). Thermistor test caps, suitable for testing the accuracy of the Therma 22, are also available

what is Biomaster?
Biomaster additives are powerful broad-spectrum inorganic, silver-based biocides for use in plastics, helping to reduce hygiene risks. The concentration of silver, in the patented anti-microbial active agent in Biomaster, provides a release of silver ions on demand, which in turn safely inhibits microbial growth.

Biomaster protection

Biomaster antimicrobial technology is incorporated in the majority ETI products during the manufacturing process, ensuring lifelong protection against the risk of bacterial cross contamination. As well as being harmful to health, outbreaks of food poisoning can damage brands, and the reputation of stores, food producers and restaurants.

The risk of food-borne contamination is widespread, existing in restaurants, bars, hotels, supermarkets, hospitals, schools, aircraft, cruise ships and your home. Anywhere where food is made, prepared or eaten.

Biomaster treated products have been proven to reduce the growth of food borne bacteria such as E.Coli, Salmonella and Campylobacter by up to 99.99%, so by choosing an ETI product with Biomaster additive, you are protected 24 hours a day, every day.

What is Biomaster?

Biomaster Antimicrobial Technology is the leading range of safe, effective and permanent additives for the control of harmful bacteria, making any surface cleaner and more hygienic for its entire lifetime.

Proven to quickly reduce bacteria by up to 99.99% Biomaster is an effective means of reducing the growth of MRSA, E.Coli, Salmonella Campylobacter, Legionella and over 50 other species.

Incorporated into the body material of your ETI product, Biomaster becomes an integral part of it, providing durable, lifelong protection against the threat of cross contamination.

How does it work?

The active ingredient in Biomaster is silver. Silver has been used in its pure form for many centuries to prevent the growth of bacteria.

Incredibly durable, long lasting and highly active, when Biomaster is added during manufacture it is dispersed throughout the product casing, will not wash off and will last for its entire lifetime. Biomaster provides antimicrobial protection without allowing bacteria to develop resistance.

Biomaster has 3 different modes of action:

Silver ions bind to the cell surface;
This disrupts the cell and prevents cell growth.

The silver ions are attracted to the Thiol groups in the cell enzymes;
This prevents the bacterium producing energy.

Silver ions interrupt the cell DNA;
This prevents DNA replication and new cell formation.

The Biomaster 3 stage mode of action does not allow bacteria cells to develop resistance, making Biomaster future proof and highly resistant against antibiotic resistant species such as MRSA.
