Works pefectly but annoyingly metal wire has kink in it

Very useful for monitoring the temperature in my very inaccurate oven.
The thermometer was bought for fitting into a Spanish gas oven that has no readout to indicate what the oven temperature is controlling at. Once the special oven probe was fitted in the oven the unit works well. It has an easy read dial and it is very easy to set up the temperature reached alarm. The unit can also be switched off to save the battery and the unit can also be disconnected from the extra oven lead for use with the meat temperature lead as supplied with the gauge.
To go with my ChefAlarm. Overall very good quality , both the ChefAlarm and probe. However the robust cables are prone to kink if not handled with care. Instructions are not to kink the cable, so ease of set up and storage compromised.
This digital thermometer is much better than the dial ones I have used before. As it it outside of the oven it is so much easier to read than peering through the glass door.
The thermometer was a gift and the recipient was delighted with it. Finding it perfect for checking her oven temperature which is what she wanted but also loved the timer and the fact it had a food probe too

It's reassuring to be able to accurately check oven and freezer temperatures. The thermometer itself is small, simple to use with a clear display and has strong magnets on the back that make it safe and convenient to clip to the outside of the oven.
Also bought the probe for inserting into food, and it's so good to actually be in control of the cooking of a joint of meat. It works really well in conjunction with temperature tables freely available on the internet.
Can't recommend this thermometer highly enough.
Clip is used as the ambient/ grill probe for the smoke thermometer. It's OK, but on my Weber BBQ, the probe can slip out when the clip is clipped onto the grill - hence why I lost the last one and had to buy a replacement.

I purchased the Dot oven thermometer along with the oven probe and clip after a lot of online research and I have to say that I am very impressed. I have gone through each gas mark setting on my gas oven and have found that every one of them is either too low or too high and I am now able to set my oven temperature accurately.
This means that together with the meat probe, I now have perfectly cooked food.
I would highly recommend the Dot as terrific value for money.
First of all, let me begin by saying that ETI is one of the best suppliers with which to deal. Great proucts, good prices, sensible shipping charges, and lightning fast delivery. If they have anything you want, do not hesitate to buy from them.
Secondly, the oven probe and clip should be in any baker’s tool kit. Unless you are given to boundless attempts at trial and error, knowing what your oven is up to at one go will dramatically improve your baking. It is sturdy and quick responding. Although the clip required a bit of adjustment to fit the racks in my oven, it can securely hold the probe most anywhere you would like in the oven.

An excellent device. My only complaint is with the packaging: white typeface on a light grey background makes it very difficult to read. I suppose this is the work of an artistic designer but, as an engineer, I find it doesn't work very well!
A well built product that performs as expected. Great response time to different temperatures, and very accurate without calibration.
