I had been looking for a thermometer / hygrometer for some time and always found information sketchy about the probe capabilities.
Having bought a couple of inferior products not know they wouldn’t work the way I needed I was delighted to find this.
Yes both functions work with either the unit or indeed the probe.
Others only give temperature via the probe but not this.
It’s ideal having all the info remotely by the probe as I needed.
Ideal product for a particular requirement.

It arrived well packed. Regarding temperature accuracy, when compared to my digital central heating thermostat which has an accuracy of ± 0.5°C, it normally indicates up to 0.5 °C less which is quite acceptable. Regarding Relative humidity I have no means of checking calibration but it gave me the 45 - 50% range I was expecting. It is however, fairly slow to react to changes of temperature but I do not see that as a problem, especially when considering it's low cost. To sum up, a desirable piece of kit.
Came with battery, easy to get working and giving accurate reading. Happy with my purchase.
