Not a lot that can be said, it just worked OK.
I'm really glad these are still available. My ChefAlarm is going strong but the probes (or more likely the connecting wire) seem to last about 6 years use before they give up - I guess shutting them in the Aga oven door does it. Otherwise an excellent, simple and reliable cooking aid.
Great replacement - just hope it lasts longer than the original one!

Not every part has been proof testes but the air temp probe has proven to do its job right and within the specs

I used it two times. So far I love build quality and ease of use.
purchase is ok but I reqest a data sheet with the technical data (beta coefficient and resitence @25c ) and I got a KO.
It doesn't make sense sell product and not provide the info to use it..

This product is very accurate with a quick response time to change in temperatures. The cable and probe are also very easy to clean, with just a quick damp sponge to clean off smoke buildup.

Unlike many thermometers, and what I found it as a most advantage is that it takes approx 5 seconds to measure temperature. I have a few ChefAram and even use it to measure the BBQ grill air temp as well. The temp measure accuracy is also very good. I wish the code is more heat resistant but is no worse than other thermometers that I used before. In short, it's very good.

I'm using these with a home built heatermeter BBQ controller and they work perfectly.
Have just used the new ChefAlarm thermometer for the first time and it seemed to work as expected and the probe probably for up to temperature quicker than its predecessor.
The screen is clearly visible and easy to read.
If this new ChefAarm unit works as well as its predecessor then it will have been a justified purchase
