Yes. It measured the temperature as designed to do. It does not do anything else. I didn't expect it to do anything else. Why would I?
Although i'd use a bluetooth instrument for trend monitoring this robust thermometer is handy for spot checks on individual radiators - easy to read, makes good thermal contact and sticks on firmly.
Using them to re balance new rads in heating system . Takes a while but does the job
I can control my heating so the radiator is not too hot to touch.This is especially important if there are family members who have lost their feeling because of age or a medical condition.
Useful to check how the heating system responds to the room thermostat and the performances of individual radiators. Magnetic attachment is handy for flat surfaces of radiators (not so good for inlet or return pipes)
