Yes. It measured the temperature as designed to do. It does not do anything else. I didn't expect it to do anything else. Why would I?
Although i'd use a bluetooth instrument for trend monitoring this robust thermometer is handy for spot checks on individual radiators - easy to read, makes good thermal contact and sticks on firmly.
Using them to re balance new rads in heating system . Takes a while but does the job
I can control my heating so the radiator is not too hot to touch.This is especially important if there are family members who have lost their feeling because of age or a medical condition.
Useful to check how the heating system responds to the room thermostat and the performances of individual radiators. Magnetic attachment is handy for flat surfaces of radiators (not so good for inlet or return pipes)

very good particularly magnetic fixing. Much improved over earlier models but needs to be to a surface flat over approx 25 mm.

Does the job
Magnetic rad thermometer is well made and works ok. However it does take some time (3 - 5 min) to give a temperature as the whole body has to warm up before a figure is available. Not like a probe which is nearly instantaneous.
