The Therma 20 thermistor thermometer has been specifically designed for use in the catering industry with HACCP and health and safety procedures in mind.
The Therma 20 thermometer displays temperature to 0.1 °C over the range of -39.9 to 149.9 °C with a high system accuracy of ±0.4 °C (-25 to 110 °C) which is guaranteed for life, due to the instruments advanced electronics. The Therma 20 features an easy to read, LCD display with low battery indication. The thermometer can be used in low ambient working temperatures down to -20 °C, which meets the requirements of the European Standard EN13485 for the temperature monitoring of food through the supply chain, from transport to storage to point of sale.
The Therma 20 is housed in an ergonomic, robust ABS case that includes 'Biomaster' additive which reduces bacterial growth. The low power consumption electronics are powered by three AAA batteries, giving the instrument exceptional battery life of a minimum of five years. The thermometer's auto-power off facility turns the instrument off automatically after ten minutes.
The Therma 20 thermometer incorporates an easy to use Lumberg screw-locking type connector, allowing a wide range of interchangeable probes to be used. ETI offers an extensive range of interchangeable thermistor probes.
The Therma 20 is priced exclusive of probe. For full details of the range of thermocouple probes available click here

The protective boot helps to protect the instrument against accidental damage and renders the instrument splashproof to IP64 when used. The stainless steel wall-mounted thermometer holder stores the instrument safely when not in use (screws not supplied). Thermistor test caps, suitable for testing the accuracy of the Therma 20, are also available
what is Biomaster?
Biomaster additives are powerful broad-spectrum inorganic, silver-based biocides for use in plastics, helping to reduce hygiene risks. The concentration of silver, in the patented anti-microbial active agent in Biomaster, provides a release of silver ions on demand, which in turn safely inhibits microbial growth.
Biomaster antimicrobial technology is incorporated in the majority ETI products during the manufacturing process, ensuring lifelong protection against the risk of bacterial cross contamination. As well as being harmful to health, outbreaks of food poisoning can damage brands, and the reputation of stores, food producers and restaurants.
The risk of food-borne contamination is widespread, existing in restaurants, bars, hotels, supermarkets, hospitals, schools, aircraft, cruise ships and your home. Anywhere where food is made, prepared or eaten.
Biomaster treated products have been proven to reduce the growth of food borne bacteria such as E.Coli, Salmonella and Campylobacter by up to 99.99%, so by choosing an ETI product with Biomaster additive, you are protected 24 hours a day, every day.
Biomaster Antimicrobial Technology is the leading range of safe, effective and permanent additives for the control of harmful bacteria, making any surface cleaner and more hygienic for its entire lifetime.
Proven to quickly reduce bacteria by up to 99.99% Biomaster is an effective means of reducing the growth of MRSA, E.Coli, Salmonella Campylobacter, Legionella and over 50 other species.
Incorporated into the body material of your ETI product, Biomaster becomes an integral part of it, providing durable, lifelong protection against the threat of cross contamination.
The active ingredient in Biomaster is silver. Silver has been used in its pure form for many centuries to prevent the growth of bacteria.
Incredibly durable, long lasting and highly active, when Biomaster is added during manufacture it is dispersed throughout the product casing, will not wash off and will last for its entire lifetime. Biomaster provides antimicrobial protection without allowing bacteria to develop resistance.
Silver ions bind to the cell surface;
This disrupts the cell and prevents cell growth.
The silver ions are attracted to the Thiol groups in the cell enzymes;
This prevents the bacterium producing energy.
Silver ions interrupt the cell DNA;
This prevents DNA replication and new cell formation.
The Biomaster 3 stage mode of action does not allow bacteria cells to develop resistance, making Biomaster future proof and highly resistant against antibiotic resistant species such as MRSA.
